Vacation. Sorry folks! I've been on vacation, which means no blogging. It's sort of ironic how being on vacation makes you want more vacation. I mean, it's supposed to be a refreshing break and then at the end you return to your "home" life invigorated. Somehow, I feel a longing for more vacation instead! Pictures to come...

Facebook. Facebook is an amazing creation. Not only does it keep you in touch with your friends, but it also re-connects you with people you kind of forgot about along the way. In the past few days I have been reconnected with people that have been a part of my life during the time from college all the way to preschool! (both friends and family)
I am definitely addicted to this phenomenon. Even my mom, who is completely computer illiterate, upon my explanation of facebook, declared it to be a great thing. I would even go so far as to say that facebook is better than blogging. (*gasp*) Try it out! Create your own facebook account. It's a blast!
In 6 days I will be laying in the sand with the waves splashing at my feet....and yes, I will post pictures of girl's week upon my return. :o)

Only 5 more days until Single's Awareness Week is over! Yes, folks it pretty much started on Friday and goes all week. Valentine's Day is not my favorite holiday. Here are the emails I get from my co-workers. ;o) Enjoy!
This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed. It is reported to have been listed in the Atlanta Journal:
SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me. Call (404) 875-6420 and ask for Daisy, I'll be waiting....

More snow! Yup...but this time it's fun snow. It's really light and fluffy. It only took me about 1 minute to wipe off my windows this morning and I felt like I was playing with that decorative cotton fluff or something. Kinda fun.
On my way to work there are these horses. There's 4 of them and they're brown. I really enjoying looking at them with the mountains in the background. It kind of brightens up my mornings when I go that way. So this morning they were standing there, all 4 of them motionless, with snow on their backs! I know this doesn't sound that thrilling, but it was hilarious! I was literally snorting for the next few minutes of my drive. :o) The things I find amusing these days...
OH...and today I got hugs from kids AND I got to make/eat pancakes with three-year olds. :o) That's always nice. Rocks my little rockstar world. I knew there was a reason I didn't have anything around to eat for breakfast this morning... I miss having kids in the office all the time. :o(
Back to work and preparing for more snow tonight. :o) Does anyone want a really cranky dog?

This...reminds me of our very own Gunther. Maybe we can video taping him during his sessions of "sit"?

"Sure, over the years my heart has been broken.
How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one,
or when a child suffers,
or even when a beloved pet gets hit by a car?
But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion.
A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect."
-from a poem by Natalie Bartlett

Pretty much nothing can make for a better day than finding out that two wonderful friends are expecting beautiful babies! What are the chances I would find out from both of them on the same day? Yesterday was very exciting! I see lots of babysitting in my future.... : )
You'll just have to guess who the lucky parents are until the news has spread....my only hint is that both couples are in Colorado. : )

Lots of random stuff going on...went to the Air Force Academy b-ball game last night. It was a great game and we won 65-57. This morning we had the most random and hilarious staff meeting e-v-e-r. I finally caved and started taking cold medicine today (after 2 weeks). Tonight I have to do homework again (Biblical School is back in session). I must admit that even though they're saying it will just be cold, I'm praying for a snow day tomorrow so that I have a 5 day weekend! : ) Oh, and Lauren and Chris just changed their wedding date, so their rehearsal dinner is going to be on my birthday : ), next year! Now I won't forget the date...and I'll get to be home for my birthday and spend it having fun with people I love!
Speaking of birthday's...this site will tell you what the Number 1 hit was on the day of your birthday. I have never even heard of the song from mine, but everyone else's was cool! Hope yours is good! Enjoy!
